MSM’s cooling paint is a groundbreaking commercialized product developed through the Korean central government’s technical support and extensive industry-academic research and development by Korean University laboratories. It is a specialized radiative cooling paint based on patented Korean research and technology development, produced, sold, and exported in only three countries worldwide : Korea, Japan, and the UK.
MSM (Marinex Smart Mobility) handles global roles in Indonesia, including joint venture R&D, production, sales, technical support, and export assistance. The cooling paint is exclusively manages domestic and international sales and export commercialization in Indonesia through an ODM agreement with its Korean joint venture partner.
Currently, MSM, as an overseas investment company registered with Indonesia’s BKPM, provides heat reflection and cooling solutions across diverse sectors including industry, construction, logistics, and defense. It focuses on the specialized commercialization of high-performance radiative cooling technology for sustainable energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction.
The CRRC (Cool Roof Rating Council) certification from the United States is utilized as the international standard. MSM products have been measured to achieve a Total Solar Reflectance (TSR) of 94% according to official CRRC standards. This represents the highest level among specialized cooling paints currently distributed worldwide. It has been confirmed that the Indonesian MSM product, cooling paint is the only one achieving a reflectance rate exceeding 90% (based on international academic conference presentations).
